8x10 Unframed Oil Painting Portrait of French Astrologer Nostradamus Signed J Fuller, Original Art
This original painting is small yet kind of wonderful. It is signed J Fuller, and if you look up this artist, he painted a lot and often his subjects were portraits of old and interesting men. We know from information on the back that this portrait was of French astrologer Michel de Nostredame, who lived in in the 1500s. The only citation I could find on the artist was "J. Fuller is a Postwar & Contemporary Artist." The artist has/had talent painting portraits, and this particular portrait has been in a vignette in my home with a variety of "curiosities" from the past. Even though the painting is not from very long ago, the subject is, and so the painting leaned against the wall with antiques and art around it makes me feel like I've wandered into someone's Old World library and am unearthing mysteries, just as Nostradamus studies the stars and skies and made predictions about the future. I especially like that this piece is unframed. It would look great in an old frame, but the fact that it is not lends it to moving about into various vignettes in one's home. It does have a few light scuffs, none that draw away, but there is a small line underneath the signature, for example.
Measures 8" by 10". Painted on canvas adhered to light plywood like panel. I have found larger paintings by the same artist that have sold in the $200 to $300 range.

• We ship within 1-3 days of order via USPS, Fed Ex, and UPS. and any order of $100 or more will be insured via third party insurance.

Returns & Refunds
• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense. We process refunds once the item is returned in the same condition received.
• If your item arrives damaged, photograph it with packaging so we may make a claim.
• Returning an item is no fun; contact us before buying to ask questions or request additional photos. I'd rather talk you out of something vs your being disappointed with a purchase!

Do you do layaways?
We can work with you on a payment plan with immediate down payment up to two months for full payment.
Note that layaways past due over 30 days go into default. Once in default the transaction is cancelled and layaway payments are not returnable due to having removed items from the market and losing potential sales.

We do NOT do reserves or holds. Like any business, we use sales proceeds to keep the shop running. We truly can't afford to take items off the market. But even if you have some funds with which to make a down payment, we can do layaway with you. Just convo to say you'd like to do a layaway, and we'll work with you on that route instead of a Hold or Reserve.
Can you tell me SOLD prices?
We get correspondance almost daily asking how much certain items are worth or what the price was of items that have sold, and we can no longer respond to these messages.
