This large and unique pendant is something of a mystery. the piece consists of two gemstones. On the top is a marble-like clear rock crystal, known as Pools of Light. It has all of the characteristics of this wonderful variety of quartz, including the way when looking through the sphere, whatever you see is upside down. In the five-sided bezel attached is an orange-pink quartz mineral, which may be Rhodonite. The back is open, and on the bezel we see the remnants of a 925 stamp, rubbed away from age. The bezels have wear, and on the back side we can see where another piece of metal was inserted along one corner, perhaps due to the gemstone not being cut to a precise fit. Pools of Light was a popular stone in the Art Deco era of the 1920s to 1930s, and at first I didn't think this pendant could be that old. But as I look at the piece, the clean lines and geometric shape certainly lends itself to being from that era. The orange quartz gemstone has some chipping from wear and age, including on the edges, plus the wear on the bezel overall, including the sides, plus that barely legible stamp--all are clues that this may be older than first glance. And that sphere--I've sold a lot of estate jewelry, much of it vintage from the 80s and 90s, and often I see Moonstone, but rarely do I see Pools of Light except in older pieces. So while I can't say with certainty that this is from that era, I can tell you that it is a stunner, and one of a kind.
Measures 2-1/2" long by 7/8" across at the widest point. Weighs 16g. Again, the piece has wear from age, so read that description carefully.

Returns & Refunds
• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense. We process refunds once the item is returned in the same condition received.

Do you do layaways?
We can work with you on a payment plan with immediate down payment up to two months for full payment.

We do NOT do reserves or holds. Like any business, we use sales proceeds to keep the shop running. We truly can't afford to take items off the market. But even if you have some funds with which to make a down payment, we can do layaway with you. Just convo to say you'd like to do a layaway, and we'll work with you on that route instead of a Hold or Reserve.
Can you tell me SOLD prices?
We get correspondance almost daily asking how much certain items are worth or what the price was of items that have sold, and we can no longer respond to these messages.

I've been thinking about this pendant for awhile. Very happy I purchased it. It has an "old soul", mysterious quality to it. Thanks for the suggestion to layer it with my other pendant. They make a striking pair.
