These large vintage "question mark" earrings rank among my all-time favorite finds. Simply--they are question marks. Punctuation. That constant thing we do, daily, hourly, sometimes by the minute. Do I like this or do that I like that? Am I or am I not? What do I think about this? Where do I stand? The question mark is the constant in most people's lives. Yes, there are those people who never waver, who know exactly what they want. But isn't it true that people who are curious, who are open to various possibilities--we understand the power of the question mark. The brilliant artist--someone in 1960s Taxco, Mexico--designed the earrings so they are a large silver curve forming the top of the mark of the question mark, with a bezel holding a round black onyx stone, which forms the dot. If you're looking for an unusual--dare I say, one of a kind!--pair of earrings to wear, these are fabulous.
Measures 2-7/8" in length and about 1-1/2" wide. Together weigh 22g, or 11g each. In good vintage condition with the stones well seated.
