What makes this vintage bib necklace special are the eight large and heavy carnelian pendants in tribal silver bezels, each suspended within two rows of tribal tubular beads and bells hanging off. It is a statement piece, and yes, it has wear. Tribal silver has little sterling content, and so while the bezels still show silver color on the exterior, many of the findings have brass or copper color showing through. But the heart of the necklace, again, is that carnelian. Five of the large pendants are dark rusty orange while the other three are a lighter orange. Some of the bells appear to have been replaced later per the shinier metal, although that's speculation on my part. The piece is wonderful and special in spite of the inconsistencies and wear. It is an older piece that has been well loved and nurtured along the way to keep it viable. The clasp also may have been replaced at a later date, yet it is completely functional. The main thing to take note of is the short length of the piece. This is meant to wear as a bib choker, not as a necklace hanging down on the chest. So if you are someone who loves the feel of metal up on the neck, you'll love how this piece makes you feel. Sexy and almost encaged by the heaviness of the metal! And again, a note about the silver is that it is NOT sterling, and it likely has little sterling content but rather a form of pot metal, yet with a lovely patina.
The necklace measures about 15" to 16" in length and about 3-3/4" from the top of the top center cabochon of carnelian to the bottom of the bells hanging from the bottom center cabochon of carnelian. I have tried it on and it fits my neck, which while slender is not what I would call super petite. The metal has tarnish and is again in different tones--some brass, some copper showing under silver plated findings, and some of what looks like pot metal.

• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within three days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense, and the item must be returned in the same condition received.

Yes, we can work with you on a payment plan with immediate down payment. We generally do 30-day plans of two payments, but for more expensive items we can do a 60- or 90-day plan. We follow the Etsy recommended approach of having you purchase an item using Other as a payment option, then invoicing you via PayPal per the payment schedule upon which we mutually agree.
Note that layaways past due over 30 days (with three reminders) go into default. Once in default the transaction is cancelled and layaway payments are not returnable due to having removed items from the market and losing potential sales.
