This Navajo Juan Guerro sterling silver and turquoise choker necklace is perfect for the person who loves a dramatic collar look. It's a clever design, made with three strands of graduated Navajo Pearls that in order to line up just right when worn had to be sized so that the top strand is shorter than the middle one, which is shorter than the bottom strand. The result is a stunning statement, with that central turquoise stone laying smack in the center (on my neck, it's right at the collarbone). And what a GORGEOUS stone it is to take front and center stage! The tones are pale green-blue with golden brown to sandstone-colored matrix throughout, reminiscent of turquoise from the Royston mine in Nevada. The previous owner had the necklace modified so it would lay well as a true choker, and I do have extra beads in the event the next owner would want this changed to be larger. Do note that there is only one way to wear the necklace, with the narrower end of the bezel pointing downward, which goes back to the length of each strand, where the shortest strand has to be the top one and the longest at the bottom. The large oval bezel has three jump rings soldered onto each side, and note that the artist used a coil jump ring to attach each of the Navajo Pearl strands; I believe this was in order to get maximum flow and flexibiility in the way the strands fall when worn. Guerro honed his skills early on as a house smith for several trading posts and he became one of the talented Navajo artists partnering with Sunwest Silver, the largest American turquoise mine owner. Hence, any time I see pieces by Guerro, I pay attention, as the turquoise is undoubtedly top notch. This style of necklace is flattering but because of the complexity in creating it so it actually works, it's also an uncommon style to find on the market. The few that are out there today are priced as high as squash blossom necklaces!
Laying the necklace flat and measuring across the longest strand, it is about 16-1/2". That central bezel measures about 1-5/8" wide by 2-1/8" tall. Weighs a hefty 149g.

Returns & Refunds
• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense. We process refunds once the item is returned in the same condition received.
• If your item arrives damaged, photograph it with packaging so we may make a claim.

Do you do layaways?
We can work with you on a payment plan with immediate down payment up to two months for full payment.
Note that layaways past due over 30 days go into default. Once in default the transaction is cancelled and layaway payments are not returnable due to having removed items from the market and losing potential sales.

We do NOT do reserves or holds. Like any business, we use sales proceeds to keep the shop running. We truly can't afford to take items off the market. But even if you have some funds with which to make a down payment, we can do layaway with you. Just convo to say you'd like to do a layaway, and we'll work with you on that route instead of a Hold or Reserve.
