Statement Tribal Silver Bib Collar w/ Dangling Etched Bird Pendants, Ethnic Hmong Jewelry Choker
This vintage wide bib collar necklace is from the Hmong tribe of Southeast Asia, who are known for this style of etched silver and for incorporating images of nature into their designs. This design features two large hanging bird pendants and a central hanging disc, and dangling from each of these pieces are long hollow elements that jingle when you move, not unlike windchimes. From a website about Hmong (a tribe among the Miao people) silver: "Miao silver is not pure silver, but an alloy of silver, copper and nickel. It’s a traditional material for making jewelry by craftsmen of Miao Hmong ethnic tribe. The percentage of silver is about 60%. I did test this necklace with the JSP acid test, and the results are consistent with low-content (up to 80%) silver. The piece is etched with detailed designs on the front side, including an etched bird in the center of the moon-shaped collar section. The cut-out bird pendants have tiny repeating lines representing feathers. And the round center disc has two more bird etchings. Clearly, this piece would be ideal for the person who loves our feathered friends! These stiff metal collar necklaces are great when worn with a scoop neck top and would be perfect for an occasion where an ethnic look is called for, even if that's your everyday look.
These chokers are hard to measure but taking a soft tape measure along the innermost outline of the inside, it comes to about 14-1/2" plus an approximate 4" clasp for a total of 17-1/2". The dangling birds each about 3-1/2" wide by about 4-1/2" long including the long sections.

Returns & Refunds
• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense. We process refunds once the item is returned in the same condition received.
• If your item arrives damaged, photograph it with packaging so we may make a claim.

Do you do layaways?
We can work with you on a payment plan with immediate down payment up to two months for full payment.
Note that layaways past due over 30 days go into default. Once in default the transaction is cancelled and layaway payments are not returnable due to having removed items from the market and losing potential sales.

We do NOT do reserves or holds. Like any business, we use sales proceeds to keep the shop running. We truly can't afford to take items off the market. But even if you have some funds with which to make a down payment, we can do layaway with you. Just convo to say you'd like to do a layaway, and we'll work with you on that route instead of a Hold or Reserve.
Can you tell me SOLD prices?
We get correspondance almost daily asking how much certain items are worth or what the price was of items that have sold, and we can no longer respond to these messages.
