This vintage Zuni bolo tie is striking, medium-large in size and featuring featuring the Sunface kachina icon with a bonnet of "feathers" made from mostly yellow Mother of Pearl, plus black yet and a hint of coral and turquoise--all inlaid between silver channels. Sunface represents the Sun Father, one of their three main kachinas or deities. The Sun symbolizes abundance, continuity, stability, positive energy, hope, happiness and peace--the warmth that makes life and growth possible. The materials were not randomly chosen; each has meaning. Mother of Pearl represents imagination, intuition, sensitivity, adaptability and decision-making. Black jet (fossilized wood) is associated with stability and protection. Coral is protective and soothing. Turquoise is a spiritual stone of oneness and unity with self as well as the spiritual and physical realms. The piece carries no marks, although we believe it is Zuni. The leather lariat is soft and wavy from age and storage. We recommend storing the piece hanging. Original silver tips, which are tarnished, as is the back of the "slide" (main piece).
The bolo "slide" measures about 1-3/4" in diameter. Weighs 30g. Working clasp. Let me know if you'd like a light polish before shipping.

• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense. We process refunds once the item is returned in the same condition received.
