These vintage small spice jars are so cool, primite, adorable, heavy, and fabulous! The set consists of six glass containers, each with tall ceramic blue and white caps, and the top of each in beautiful typography are the names of spices. The jars are made airtight by the metal wire closure. All six fit into a sweet rooster-themed table top rack. The wire closures are tarnished by age yet still work. What is most beautiful about the pieces are those white ceramic caps with the words of six spices spelled out, one on each cap: Red Pepper, Basil, Parsley, Rosemary, Garlic, Oregano. And how convenient that these spices are perfect fot the person cooking in so many genres: Mexican, New Mexican, or other ethnic foods, but also your main stand-bys! The rack is equally adorable as the jars with three metal roosters on the front. Great piece for the lover of vintage and chickens!
The rack measures just under 12" across by 2" deep and 1-3/4" tall. The bottles or small jars are each 3-3/4" tall and over 4-1/2" tall including the cap, by 1-1/4" in diameter and have the letters VSRF embossed on bottom. Rack is in good condition. The metal closures are a bit older looking yet still work. The ceramic tops are excellent, and the glass jars all solid, no cracks. For the sake of showing age, I've photographed the jars in the condition I found them; however,. I will clean the glass interiors before shipping.
