This ring is incredibly charming, from the 1970s, and made via a process called "channel inlay." Channel inlay is complex--the artist cuts the stones precisely to fit the shapes created by the silver outline. This particular type is also called flush inlay, where the pieces are flush all around, which makes the turquoise used have to be extremely thin and stable. You can see in this ring that this turquoise has matrix and mother stone within in, which is quite difficult, as mother stone creates naturals cracks in the turquoise. Yet, all of the gemstones are well seated within the ring. And what I like most, beside the flower design, the the wrapped style that feels good on the finger. As this carries no artist hallmark, we can't say for certain that it's Native American; however, we believe it is Zuni.
The ring face on this size 6.75 ring measures 7/8" long by 1-1/8" across (curved). Silver has scratches on edges and back consistent with age, and as with many older channel inlay pieces, there are small gaps between the gemstone and the silver.
Charming Old Pawn, with great feel and presence.

• We are happy to work with you on a payment plan if that will help you to purchase an item you otherwise would not be able to buy at this time. We generally do 30-day plans of two payments, but for more expensive items we can do a 60- or 90-day plan. Please convo me to talk about how we can set this up for you.
